John Charles Eckersley was born in Tamborine, Queensland on 08 Feb 1923. [1] He was the son of John Eckersley and Margaret Macdonnell. [2]

He served in World War 2 with the Australian Army. Service Number was QX58919 (Q146009). Rank attained was Lance Sergeant. Next of kin was Eckersley, Margaret. Enlistment date was 22 October 1943.
