Biography
Richard Echols is a part of US Black heritage.
Richard was probably born between 1914 and 1922 (see Research Notes) in Scurry, Kaufman, Texas, United States.[1] His parents were Steve Echols and Leonora (Unknown) Echols.
In 1920, Richard (age 6) lived in Ellis, Texas, United States with his father Steve (age 34), mother Leonora (first name not shown, age 26), and brother Claud (age 7). His father was a general farmer.[2]
In 1930, Richard (age 16) lived in Kaufman, Texas, United States with his father Steve (age 45), mother Leonora (age 34), and brother Claud (age 17). His father was a general farmer.[3]
In 1940, Richard (age 26) lived on Highway 34 in Sand Lake, Ellis, Texas, United States with his father Steve (age 54) and mother Leonora (shown as Leeana, age 43). His father was a farmer and Richard was a school teacher.[4]
Richard married Bertha Mae Allen April 10, 1948 in Dallas, Texas, United States[5] and they had at least three children.
In 1950, Richard (age 31) and Bertha Mae (age 29) lived at 4135 Gentry Drive in Dallas, Dallas, Texas, United States with children Anthon Ree (age 9) and Lillie.[6]
Richard died in Texas, United States. His obituary was published November 25, 1998 in the Dallas Morning News.[1]
