Obituary
From the Auburn Free Press, Thursday, July 25, 1940:
John D. Eaton, 66, retired farmer of this village, died early Thursday at a Moravia convalescent home. Surviving are four daughters and a son, Mrs. Howard Fuller, Sempronius, Mrs. Fred Peacock and Miss Vesta Eaton, Homer; Mrs. Marcus Wright, Johnson City; and Shirley Eaton, Moravia, also nine grandchildren. The funeral was held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Dresserville church, Rev. John Keefe of Moravia officiating. Burial was in the Douglas cemetery at Summerhill.
