Private Benjamin Eaton served with Essex County, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Benjamin Eaton served for Massachusetts and Connecticut as a Private under command of Captains Putnam, Waterman, Wade and Colonels Ogden. And Caleb Gibbs as Command in Chief's Guards. [1]

Eaton, Benjamin Pvt. 1758-1843 years in the Life Guards 1780-1783. [2]

At the time of his death, he was said to be the last survivor of George Washington's Life Guard. He joined the pursuit at Lexington, and served till 1779, with an absence of only 20 days. [3]
