In 1841 and 1851 he lived with his wife in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England as a savings bank actuary.[2][3] In 1861 he was a widower living in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England as a saving's bank actuary[4] and in 1871 he was a widower living in Upton, Cheshire, England.[5]
He passed away in 1872[6][7] and was buried on 11th March 1872 in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England aged 88 years.[8][9]
