John Easson was born in 1797 in Leslie, Fife, Scotland to John Easson and Cecelia Farmer. He married Janet Williamson, also of Leslie, Fife, Scotland, on 2 Nov 1823. They immigrated to Canada and John worked as a bookkeeper. He died in 1871 at the age of 74 in York, Ontario, Canada, after two weeks sickness with bronchitis.
