Evert and his son Gerrit were painters and glaziers as noted in a footnote in the Journal of Jasper Dankaerts on page 181. The journal entry for March 20th 1680 mentions that Evert and Gerrit had painted glass for the new church in Esopus and Gerrit now had to transport this up the river from New York.
Evert Duycking is also mentioned in the Rensselaers Bouwier as Evert Duycker, who provided the captain of the ship Rensselaers Wijck with a new glass for his compass in September 1644, before the ship left for Bermuda. I am a Duycker descendent.
