Biography

Charles was born in 1830, the son of Edward Durning.

Headstone inscription says: Born in Cape Giradeau, Co, Mo Mar. 10, 1830 Come to Tex. C Mas 1852 Joined the Confederat Army Feb. 20, 1862 Served Till The Close Married Hester Ann George Nov. 19, 1868 They Joined The Baptist Church July 15, 1873
