HARVEY JEROME DURBIN, SR., 89, of Columbus, Texas died Thursday, January 18, 2007. He was born January 1, 1918 in Mount Pleasant, Texas to C.C. Durbin and Polly Ann Durbin. He served in the U.S Army Air Corps as a pilot during the Second World War. He was actively involved with the Knights of Columbus during much of his life. It can be said of him that he never met a stranger and was always quite congenial to others. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances D. Durbin (Kucera). He is survived by his sons, his, daughter-in-law, and his granddaughters. A private funeral was held for Mr. Durbin at Forest Park West-heimer Cemetery Friday January 26, 2007 with Father Thomas Rafferty presiding.
