Mary was born in 1837. She was the daughter of William Dunstone and Julia Philips.

She was Baptised at St Wendron, Wendron, Cornwall on 28 May 1837, William was a miner and they lived in Kenap.[1] [2]

On 6 June 1841 William Dunstan (30) Copper Miner, wife Julia Dunstan (20) with children Mary Dunstan (4), William Dunstan (2) and Wearne Dunstan (1 month) lived in Kenap / Burras, Wendron, Cornwall, England. [3]

The Dunstan family emigrated from England and settle in South Australia, Australia in 1847. William Dunstone, wife and 4 children arrived on 16 March 1847 on board the barque Princess Royal. It departed London 5 November and Plymouth, England on 15 November 1846. [4] Also on board were Thomas Dunstone and wife and William Dunstone. Brothers John was born at sea in 1847 and Richard was born in Burra in 1849.

Mary Dunstan married Henry Collins on 15 July 1854 at the Castlemaine School House, Victoria, Australia. [5] [6]

She passed away in 1917, aged 80 at her residence, Talbot Road, Clunes [7] [8] and was buried at the Clunes Cemetery, Methodist, Row C. [9] [10]
