Biography

James was born about 1763. He was the son of James Dunnett and Susanna Hewitt.

He was christened on 20 June 1763 in the Church of St. James, Crownthorpe, Norfolk, by William Pinching, Curate^[1].

James and Anne Land obtained a marriage licence^[2]. They were subsequently married on 4 July 1783 at Griston, Norfolk. The vicar was John Borret^[3]. They married with the consent of both their parents (probably in haste as their first child appears to have been born four months later). James was of the Parish of Hingham.

They had at least thirteen children:

13. Henry Edmund (buried 30 May 1803 infant)

He was a farmer and a horse dealer.

A notice was published in the Norfolk Chronicle dated 21 July 1804 as follows:

Notice is Hereby Given,

That no debts contracted from the date hereof by Ann Dunnett, wife of James Dunnett, of Cafton, Norfolk, will be paid by me.

He passed away in 1804 at the age of 41 and was buried at St Peter and St Paul Churchyard, Griston, Breckland Borough, Norfolk, England^[5].
