Charles Dummett died young.
Charles Dummett was born on 18 Aug 1844 in Florida, USA.

Charles is buried right in the middle of Canova Drive. He was hunting with a friend when his gun discharged and he was accidentally killed. His father buried him right there. Later in time (1960's), this burial spot became a problem for developers. To avoid the legal difficulties in moving the grave, the developers made the road go around it.
Charles' father Douglas Dummett was in the sugar business, and the second Seminole War, later he was a Peace Justice and the first Collector of Customs for the Port of New Smyrna.
Charles was mentioned on a memorial in Charles Dummett Gravesite, New Smyrna Beach, Volusia County, Florida with a death date of 23 Apr 1860.[1]
