Biography

He was the son of Reverend Henry Duckworth and Sarah Johnson.^[1]He was born on the 9th February 1747 at Leatherhead, Surrey, England. And was baptised on the 28th of Feb 1747.^[2]He was married twice, firstly to Anne Wallis, daughter of John Wallis, on the 16th of July 1776 at Stoke Damerel, Devon, England.^[3]He married, secondly, Susannah Catherine Buller, daughter of the Rt. Rev. William Buller and Anne Thomas, on the 14th of May 1808.^[1]At Crediton, Devon, England.^[4]He gained the rank of Admiral of the White.^[1]He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.).^[1]He died on the 31st of August 1817 at the age of 69 at Admiralty House, Plymouth, Devon, England
