Deleman, was born on 18 March 1872 in Maidstone, Essex, Ontario, Canada.^[1] She was the daughter of Isaac Dubé and Artémise Lacharité. ^[2] Deleman went by the name "Delia".

In the 1881 census Delima (age 9) was in Maidstone, Essex, Ontario, Canada.^[3]

Delia, daughter of Duby, married Lewis McTaggert on 28 June 1895 in Bay City, Bay, Michigan, United States.^[4][5]

Delia's son Edward Joseph McGaggart was born on 24 May 1897 in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, United States.^[6]

In the 1900 census Delia (age 28) was the wife of Lewis McTaggart in Saginaw city Ward 4, north side, Saginaw, Michigan, United States.^[7]

In the 1910 census Della (age 38) was the married head of household in Detroit Ward 2, Wayne, Michigan, United States.^[8]

In the 1920 census Della (age 45) was the widowed head of household in Detroit Ward 2, Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, United States.^[9]

Delia died (age 63) on 24 February 1936 in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, United States.^[10][11] Delia was buried in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, United States.^[12]

Notes:

Deleman Dubay's birth information was transcribed as born Mar 18, 1872 - but the father's name was incorrectly recorded as Louis Dube. Her mother's name matches (although phonetic and incorrectly spelled) and the informant was listed as Louie Dubay. Deleman changed her name to Delia, and worked as a cook under the name Delia Dubay in Bay City, MI. U.S., City Directories, 1822-1995 for Delia Duby Bay City, Michigan, City Directory, 1893

Her marriage cert listed her father's name as Isaac (aka Joseph Isaac), but it was incorrectly transcribed as Nick Dubay. Her occupation is also listed as a cook. Her age is listed as the same (22) and her birthplace listed as Pinconning MI, which is where the family lived after immigrating. Delia's family lists her birthdate as March 25, 1872, but they do not have any birth records to support this. Given all the similarities, between the two names and their records, I have merged the records to support that Deleman Dubay and Delia Dubay are the same person.
