Biography

William Drummond was a member of the aristocracy in Scotland.

William Ker, 2nd Earl of Roxburghe (1622-1675) was the son of John Drummond, 2nd Earl of Perth and Lady Jean Ker.^[1]

He was given the name of William Drummond at birth. In 1650 his name was legally changed to William Ker, and he succeeded to the titles of 2nd Earl of Roxburghe [S., 1616] 2nd Lord Ker of Cessford and Caverton [S., 1616] on 18 January 1649/50, under the terms of his grandfather's deed. ^[2]

A contract for the marriage of William Ker, 2nd Earl of Roxburghe and his first cousin, Jean Ker, was signed on 17 May 1655.^[2]

He died on 2 July 1675.^[2]
