Biography

Firmin was born in May 6, 1853 to father Janvier and mother Angele Sureau Blondin.[1]

He was married in 1875 to Mathilde LaFrance, daughter of Joseph LaFrance and Esther Clement.[2]

He married again in 1891 to Glephire LaFrance, her sister (the parents are the same).[3]

On 8 Feb 1875, in Ste-Scholastique, Firmin Drouin adult son of Janvier Drouin and Angèle Blondin married Mathilde Lafrance adult daughter of deceased Joseph Lafrance and Esther Clément. Several named relatives including Félix Lafrance bride's uncle (and probably her godfather) and groom's father (signs Janvier Derouin), both the bride and groom sign with several others. [4] [5]

On Jan 7 1891, in Ste-Scholastique, Firmin Drouin adult widower of Mathilde Lafrance married Gléphire Lafrance adult daughter of deceased Joseph Darragon and Esther Proulx dite Clément. The bride and groom sign along with Félix Lafrance. [6] [7]

On 21 Oct 1911, in St-Jérôme, Firmin Drouin adult widower of Cléophyre Lafrance married Mathilde Vermette adult widow of Nephtali Robin. Both the bride and groom sign along with groom's brother Joseph Drouin and witness Joseph Raimond. [8]

Firmin Drouin, 82 year old widower of Mathilde Vermette, died 11 Mar 1936. He was buried 14 Mar 1936 in Ste-Scholastique, Deux-Montagnes. In attendance were his sons, including Joseph Drouin, several signatures. [9]
