He was later adopted by William Herbert Lee & Emma Jane Lee (nee Robertson) and his surname was changed to Lee. He married Phyllis Jean McDonald on 29 July 1950. Bob and Phyllis had three children - Robyn Christine Flint (nee Lee), Donald William Alan Lee (AKA Alan Lee) and Catherine Anne Ditchfield (nee Lee).
