Henry was born in 1875. Often known as Harry. He served in the NZ Army in the Second Boer War (1899-1902) - he embarked in NZ for South Africa on 12 March 1902 in the NZ Mounted Rifles, 9th Contingent, South Island Regiment, C Squadron. Service number: South Africa 7629.[1][2] He married Maggie Rumgay in 1912.[3] He died in 1947.[4] Probate the following year.[5] On 1 Dec 1947 he was buried in Te Henui Cemetery, New Plymouth - Alpha Block Row BC - West Plot 2.[6][7] He has some similarity to Henry John Driscoll (1875-1912) but they are not the same.
