Joseph Drake was born in Dorset, England.

Joseph was born in 1808

He married Betsey Holloway on 19th June 1834 in Alverstoke, Hampshire, England[1]

He was living with his wife and children at Leppitt'S Hill, Waltham Holy Cross, Essex, England in 1841[2]

He was still living with his wife and children at Landport Road, Portsea, Hampshire, England and he was working as a cattle dealer in 1851[3]

He was still living with them at Woodside Purbrook, Southwick, Hampshire, England and he was a farmer of 100 acres employing one boy in 1861[4]
