JOHN DOVE - Blacksmith.
John and his wife, Hannah, were the parents of : Albert Dove (1844); Frederick (1850); Anise (1852) and John (1854). Sadly, John died aged 39 years and was buried on 2 May 1857 ( Redenhall with Harleston and Wortwell,) The family appear on the 1851 census record which lists John as a blacksmith, aged 33 years. John was the son of Robert and Honour Dove and he was baptised on 28 February 1819 at New Buckenham Wesleyan Church. (New Buckenham is south of Wymondham, John's listed place of birth (1851 Census). John's father was a labourer of Spooner Row, Wymondham (Baptism record for John). Hannah Dove, widow, re-married John Ray in January 1859 (Depwade, Norfolk) and the 1861 Census shows the family with the addition of son, Charles Kay, aged 2 years. John Kay was a thatcher, aged 24, born Alburgh, on the census record and Hannah was 35 years, born Attleborough.
