Biography

James Elbert Douglas(s) was born at Parkland Hospital, Dallas, Texas on October 18, 1930. He attended North Dallas High School class of 48. He was a member of the band and ROTC. He then attended SMU, UTA and Fort Worth Theological Seminary. Rev. James Douglas(s) served in Southern Baptist churches in Texas and Oklahoma. He left the ministry in the 1980's and entered the home building industry. After retiring, James moved first to Granbury, Hood County, Texas and then in 1996 to Friendswood where he lived the remainder of his life.^[1] James E Douglass passed away 15 November, 2001 and was interred at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas 19 November, 2001. His son-in-law, Dr. Eric Skidmore officiated the memorial service. ^[2]
