Dear Be,

thanks for adding information to the profiles of https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Reling-10 and his wife. Please be more careful editing profiles in the future though! You changed the marriage record source from saying the marriage was entry 22 to entry 2, where it actually was 22 and the link to the wifes birth was to the wrong page on matricula as well.

Best regards Jörg Behler

Hi Be - Thank you for the wonderful translation and sourcing work you did for my 3rd great grandparents; Heinrich Degenhardt and Margareta Louise (Thiel) Degenhardt.

Ich spreche bisschen Deutsch, aber, vielen Dank.

Hello Chuck,

you are welcome!

Now the question is why Conrad put "mother born in France" in the census records. Maybe her family came from France some generations earlier? Or they just could not remember after all this time in the United States?

By the way, did you know that you can share your ancestry sources for non-members? There is a "share" icon - click on it an you can copy a link that can be opened by anyone.

Best regards

Bettina

Hallo, Be

Hi, Be

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Moin Be,

Hi Be,

I just began researching the family of Wilhelm Siepmann and Catharina Lang. Two days ago I found their marriage record. I’m trying to interpret it right now. I was happily surprised to find in my WikiTree News that you were already working on this family. I have been slowly working up my family tree. They are my great great grandparents. I was wondering if you are related? Janet (Cook) Hartje

Hi Be,

Thank you for upgrading and signing our Honor Code.

Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.

Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.

Hello Janet,

no, I am not related.

I am quite new here. I did not find any relatives, so I just searched for my home town Oberhausen.

I have found further info on familysearch https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/LC3M-13M. You are probably HJanet7? You have worked there 2021? In the meantime somebody has done lots of updates, have you seen?

Best regards Bettina.
