Biography
Nicholas Dormion was a Huguenot.
Nicholas Dormion was probably born about 1562, in Guînes, France, although this date and place are unconfirmed. He is listed as Sara (Saye) Sohier's maternal uncle in her marriage record. The family were from Guînes and were Protestant Christians, aka French Huguenots.

Translation:
"Sara Saye, marriageable young girl, 26 years old, native of Fersinghe, daughter of the late Antoine Saye and Catherina Dormion, her father and mother, living in Guînes; assisted by François de Villiers, husband of Marie Saye, her brother-in-law, a shoemaker in Guînes; Michel Raignard, husband of Elizabeth Saye, her brother-in-law; Hans Quepot, Guînes shoemaker, her uncle on the maternal side; [and] Nicolas Dormion, dmt. [domiciled] in Guînes, her uncle on the maternal side."
