Reginald Harvard Dority was born at Bar Harbor, Maine, 1 Feb 1906, the third child of Charles Howard Dority and Addie Dunn Hooper; ^{[1] [2] [3]} died at Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, 24 Apr 1989, ^{[4] [5]} and is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, Maine. ^{[6] [7]}

He married at Tracey Mills, New Brunswick, 22 Feb 1926, Mary K. Webb. ^{[8] [9]}

He was a school teacher at Bridgewater ^[10] and Calais, ^[11] and superintendent of schools at Princeton and Milo, Maine.
