Biography

Hannah Doll was born on 6 Apr 1786.^[1]

She married Jacob Ruchstein,^[2] and the couple had nine known children:

4. Maria Magdalena Rustay
5. Barbara Ann Rustay
6. Johan Nicholas Rustay
7. Samuel Rustay
8. Hanna Rustay
9. Catherine Rustay

Hannah and Jacob were sponsors at the baptisms of these five children:

• Barbara Seis, daughter of Henrich and Maria Sorbe Seis, on 11-Sep-1814
• Hanah Rath, daughter of George and Susan Rath, on 1-Oct-1831
• John Doll, son of Jaques and Susanna Doll, on 5-May-1833
• Rachel Ruchstein, daughter of George and Elisabeth Ruchstein, on 17-July-1836
• Maria Magdalena Cragle, daughter of Daniel Cragle, on 24 Sep 1837.

Hannah Ruchstein died 1 Jan 1849.^[3][4]

Hannah is presumed to be the daughter of John Dull of Nescopeck. He was the only Dull/Doll/Dall in the area of the right age. Nescopeck is about five miles from Old River Road Church in Wapwallopen and it is where she and Jacob were living in 1840.^[5] She may have been one of the presumed daughters age 10-15 in the John Dull household in Hamilton Township, Northampton in 1800.^[6] She would have been 14 or 15. She also may have been one of the three women who appeared in the 1790 census in the Low Hill, Northampton County household of John Dull.^[7] She would have been four years younger than John's son, John Jr.
