Biography
George William Dobson was born in Brisbane Queensland, Australia, on 6 November 1887 to Thomas Dobson and Mary Ellen Hardwicke, her surname is also spelt, Hardwick.
As a young man of 20 years; he was caught by the foot in a railway switch and there were fears he would lose the limb that was badly crushed. This event was reported in the Telegraph 25 February 1909 and it also revealed that George's dad was the assistant Station Master at Bowen Hills, Brisbane.
Married in Brisbane Queensland, Australia on 28 December 1929, to Maud Mary known as Maria Lax. There are no known children.
Death occurred on 13 September 1965; buried in Toowong Cemetery, Brisbane with Dobson and Hendle families.
