In the 1920 United States Census, she is listed as 10 years old and living in the household of Robert N Dobbs, her father, in Mignon Town, Talladega, Alabama. [3]
She married Riley Birdine Tidwell on November 1, 1925 in Tuskegee, Alabama. [4] Their children were:
