Biography
Joseph Edmond Rene Hubert Dion was born at Arthabaska, Quebec on July 25, 1907 and he was baptized there the next day. [1] He was a son of Joseph Dion and Belzemire Verville.
Rene Dion married Anna Labossiere at St. Leon, MB on July 26, 1934 She was the 11th. child of 13 and the fourth of five daughters of Georges Labossiere and Helene Lafreniere. Two of Rene Dion's sisters married Labossiere cousins of Anna. Anna Labossiere and Rene Dion had seven children, all born at St. Leon.
Anna Labossiere passed away at St. Boniface, MB on Jan. 26, 1960. She was only 47 years old.
Rene Dion passed away at St. Boniface, MB on Jan. 6, 1994. He was 86 years old.
