Biography
Anna Catherine Dieffenbach was born in the Tulpehocken Creek valley of Pennsylvania in 1739.
In 1759, she married Martin Shell, at Host's Reformed Lutheran Church, Wommelsdorf PA. Their children:
- Peter b. 1760
- Martin, JR. b. September 16, 1763, Pennsylvania; d. August 19, 1817; m. Catharine Parthemore; b. October 31, 1761; d. September 15, 1804.
- Anna Catherine b. May 08, 1767, Tulpehocken, Berks County, Pennsylvania; d. January 10, 1828, Union Township, Union County, Ohio. She married John Parthemore (1764-1840)
Following the death of her husband Martin Schell in 1777, Anna Catherine married Johannes Parthemore.
Burial: Shoop Reformed Church Cemetery, East of Harrisburg, PA.
