Corinne Calvet, born Corinne Dibos, was a French actress who appeared mostly in American films. [1] During the 1950s, she appeared in many Hollywood films with such leading men as Danny Kaye, Joseph Cotton and Alan Ladd. In the 1960s she appeared frequently on U.S. television, including guest appearances on Starsky and Hutch, Burke's Law and Police Story, among others.
After her retirement from the screen, she became a therapist. She wrote an autobiography, "Has Corinne Been a Good Girl?" and lived in Santa Monica.
Corinne was born in 1925 in Paris.
She married the actor John Bromfield 7 November 1948 in Boulder City, Nevada. They divorced 16 March 1954 in Los Angeles. "Corinne Calvet, Actress, Wed. Boulder City, Nev., Nov. 8--(AP)-Corinne Calvet, French film actress, and John Bromfield, screen newcomer, were wed here yesterday in Grace Community Church. The couple went to a Lake Mead lodge after the wedding. The marriage is Miss Calvet's first, Bromfield's second. She gave her age as 22 and he gave his as 26.[2]
She passed away 23 June 2001 in Santa Monica, California at the age of 76.[3]Her remains were cremated.[4]
