Biography
Hugo was born about 1759 and baptized 20 September 1759 in the Dutch Reformed Church with maternal relatives Hugo Freer and his wife Maria DeWitt serving as witnesses. [1] He was the son of Isaac Deyo and Aegtjen Freer.
He married Catrina DerBush who deposed and received his Revolutionary War service pension in 1838. [2] He passed away after 1790, probably in New Paltz, New York.[3]

Alternate spelling of Deyo is Dio and in church records it looks like: DeJoo, Dejon, Dyo.
