Biography

Azubah Dexter was born August 9, 1792, the daughter of Isaac Vincent and Anna Foster Dexter^{[1] [2]}

On 11 Dec 1817, she married Whitman Freeman (born in 1792, the son of Nelson Freeman and Mercy Whitman.^[3], and had children, including:

1. Eliza, Oct. 8, 1818; d. March 3, 1820.
2. George Whitfield Freeman, b. 24 May 1820, Milton, Nova Scotia; married Hannah Park, Jan. 31, 1843.
3. Eliza Ann Freeman, born 16 May 1822, Milton, Nova Scotia; married Handley E. Fitch, Oct. 1840; died 14 Jan 1874, Clarence, Annapolis Co., Nova Scotia,
4. Alfred Whitman Freeman, born 30 Apr 1824, Milton, Nova Scotia; died Feb. 13, 1846.
5. Mary Azuba Freeman, born 20 Apr 1826, Milton, Nova Scotia; married Charles Ford, Aug. 1851
6. Mercy Nelson Freeman, born 7 May 1828, Milton, Queens Co., Nova Scotia, Canada; d. August 20, 1828.

Azubah died July 9, 1828, and is buried in the Milton Community Cemetery along with members of her family^[4]
