Biography
It is believed that Mary was the daughter of William Dews and Nancy Stone. Her exact date of death is not known; although, she is not found in the 1880 Census. She was with two of her sons in the 1870 Census. Her burial place also is not known. The date of the marriage bond was 7 September 1840. The marriage itself probably was solemnized not too long after this date. The bondsman was A. H. Clarke and Samuel P. Ferrell was witness.
