Research Notes
Easy confusion -- besides this George (b1841, IA) and his father George (b1816, MA), older brother Asoph also named one of his sons George H Dewey (b1876, MO).
Conflicting death dates -- FG memorial for George Jr cites 1875 without headstone photo, but George Jr's Armed Forces grave registration says 1841-02-07 thru 1891-08-08. Did he die on the same day as his father, or does someone have bad info?
