Hugh Devenney was born on 8 December 1893 either in New Zealand or Donegal, County Donegal, Ireland as the son of Hugh Devenney and Mary Ann Brazil[1].
He married Elizabeth Barbara Collins on 24 February 1927 in New Zealand[2].
He died on 19 February 1975 in New Zealand[3].
He was buried in Archer Street Masterton Cemetery, Masterton, Wellington, New Zealand[4][5].
