Biography

Eugène Després was baptized at the age of 3 weeks on 18 Feb 1857 in Bouctouche, New Brunswick, the son of Jean Després and Seraphie Surette.[1] His godparents were Thadde Després and Marie B. Després.

Eugène married Bibianne Brault, daughter of Hyppolite Breau and Marguerite Caissie, on 8 Nov 1881 in Cocagne.[2] Their children were:

  1. Joseph Després (born 16 Sep 1882)
  2. Marie Marguerite Després (born 30 Oct 1883)
  3. Joseph Maxime Després (born 7 Feb 1887)
  4. Joseph Gilbert Després (born 22 Aug 1889)
  5. Amédée Després (born 5 May 1891)
  6. Marie Bella Després (born 20 Jul 1893)
  7. Marie Fidelis Després (born 29 Jun 1894)
  8. Marie Angéline Després (born 10 Apr 1897)

In the 1901 census Eugene (age 42 years) lived in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick.[3]

Eugène married widow Ursule Richard on 24 Nov 1913 in Cocagne.[4]

He died on 13 Jan 1922 in Cocagne.[5]
