Marriage, Family and War

On 25 Oct 1749, Jeanne Françoise married André Alard, at Saint-François-du-Lac, which was within the Gouvernement des Trois-Rivières, Nouvelle-France. ^{[2] [3]}

Following their marriage, Jeanne Françoise, André and family lived through the French and Indian War (1754-1763), which was the North American theatre of Europe's Seven Years' War among France, Great Britain and their conflicting allies - but referred to in Québec as La Guerre de la Conquête - following which their homeland was ceded to Great Britain. ^{[4] [5]}
