Thomas Joseph Desmond was born in 1901 at Cork, the son of William Desmond, coachman, and Minnie Foley.[1]
On the 10th October 1929, he married Elsie Fraser at Cowes, Isle of Wight.[2][3]
Wing Commander Thomas Joseph Desmond, RAF, died at Brading on the Isle of Wight, on the 3rd August 1988, aged eighty-six years.[4][5]
Career notes
On 20th December 1921, Thomas Joseph Desmond passed out of the Royal Air Force (Cadet) College, commissioned as a Pilot Officer.[6]
In 1939, Mr. Desmond was promoted to the rank of Wing Commander.[7]
