Edwin Deller was born in July 1832 in Binfield, Berkshire, England, son of Esther Jane (Hollyer) Deller and William Thomas Deller.

He was baptised in 1839 in Binfield.^[1]

He emigrated to Australia on the Phoenix in 1854.^[2]

He married Hannah Amelia Langridge in 1865 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.^{[citation needed]} Their children were:^{[citation needed]}
