Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s VERY IMPORTANT to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Just as a reminder, our Honor Code requires that you cite your sources. Please make sure to go back and add sources to the profiles you have created, prior to adding more profiles. Take a look at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Sources to understand how to add your sources.
As you have been a member of WikiTree for a few weeks now, I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.

My advice is to create very small GedComs - start with about 20 people; get those 20 through the GedCompare process and then create another GedCom of about 50 people. Continue doing that until you are comfortable with the process. You may decide that adding profiles manually is easier as there is a lot of clean-up from a GedCom upload. Also, the sources, especially from Ancestry do not always load properly. Here is a link to a page about how to split GedComs that might help: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Splitting_a_GEDCOM
