Biography
Georgina Deane (married name Chant) was born in 1856 in Manchester, Lancashire, England, the daughter of Alfred Deane.[citation needed]
Georgina, 3, came to Australia in 1860 on the Commodore Perry with her mother and two younger brothers.[1] (Her two younger brothers did not survive the voyage. Annotations on the passenger list say Sydney died on the 20th July of pneumonia, and Stanley died of convulsions on the 24th.)
She married George Barrett Chant in 1877 in Victoria, Australia.[2] Their children were:[citation needed]
