Biography

Sarah Kathryn "Kate" Dean was born on 18 September 1905 in Cumberland County, North Carolina, United States. She was the daughter of William Orin Dean and Helen Jane (Guy) Dean.^[1][2]

Sarah married A. Vance Ratley in about 1924 according to the 1930 United States Census. They were the parents of at least three children according to the 1930 and 1940 United States Censuses.

Mrs. Kate Ratley of Hope Mills, Cumberland County, North Carolina was named in her father's obituary when he died in 1956.^[3]

Sarah Kathryn (Dean) Ratley died on 19 September 1970 in Fayetteville, Cumberland County, aged 65. She was buried in Gilmont Cemetery, Hope Mills, Cumberland County, North Carolina.^[2][4]
