Biography
Sarah Dean, daughter of James & Jemima Dean of Headcorn, Kent, England, was born 15 Aug 1819 and baptized 10 Oct 1819 at the Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, Headcorn.[1]
She married Michael Giles 15 Sep 1839 in Maidstone, Kent.[2]
In the 1841 census, Michael and Sarah are enumerated separately. Michael is in Thornham, Kent[3] and Sarah and daughter Jemima are listed with her parents in Headcorn, Kent.[4]
Altogether, Michael and Sarah had 5 children born in the 1840s:
Sadly, Sarah[5], Charlotte[6] and John[7] all died at the Hollingbourne Union Workhouse, Hollingbourne, Kent within a month of each other in 1849. They were all buried at Headcorn.[8]
