Biography
Ilene was born in 1905. She was the daughter of George Deal and Clara Land.
Her father died in 1933.
In the 1935 NZ Electoral Rolls she was recorded at the Nurse's Home, Hospital Road, Wellington, a spinster.
Ilene was a Registered Nurse in Wellington when the 2nd World War broke out. She enlisted and served as a Staff Nurse with the New Zealand Army Nursing Service. Her next of kin was recorded as Mrs G. W. Deal (mother), 124 Fendalton Road, Christchurch, New Zealand. Service No: 34973
She returned to New Zealand and married (Unknown) Cox.
On her second embarkation, she held the rank of Sister. Her next of kin was recorded as Mrs F. D. Alack (sister), Tasman RD, New Zealand.
Unknown when she passed away.
