In the Cape Archive of 1746 , grazing right permit issued to Michiel de Plooij...see "Stellenbosch number 123"..it reads [8]:
Stellenbosch no.123 Werd door deesen gepermitteerd. Aan een lande bouwer, Michiel de Plooij, omme voor den tyd een geheele jaar met zijn vee te mogen gaan leggen en wyden aan de mond van den Hart beeste revier, geleegen aan De Breede revier.[8]
This permission was annually renewed up to 1766. It is possible that the farm De Monde eventually became owned by Michiel. This farm is about 5 km west of Worcester,Cape. This farm fell under jurisdiction of Tulbagh. [8]

Note: Michiel de Plooij is mentioned in death certificate nr. 1340 for his son Roelof de Plooy ( the "Plooij..became Plooy).[8]
in Death notice dated 1845 the death of Roelof's first born, Jacobus ..the surname is written therein like today, Jacobus du Plooy, Date of Decease "8th July 1845" Age of deceased "50 years & 11 days"[8]

Op dieselfde register van haar is inskrywing # 6 waar haar Oom of Broer as getuie ook aangeteken word as de Plooij.
