Research Notes
LNAB: Based on the records currently here, it appears to me that under the New Netherland Project naming conventions, her LNAB should be de Boots, the name recorded at her marriage. However, I have not researched her history. Smith-62120 17:24, 7 April 2024 (UTC)

The "of Amsterdam" indication in her marriage record is understood to mean that she was born in Amsterdam.
I've seen several New Netherland profiles, probably created from Gedcom imports, where the "of Amsterdam" indication was interpreted to mean that the person was born in Amsterdam, Montgomery County, New York -- a city that didn't get the name "Amsterdam" until 1804. That kind of nonsense is pervasive in online family trees, and it needs to be recognized as nonsense -- rather than laboring mightily to create a hypothetical explanation for it.
The "Unity" came to New Netherlands in 1624 with settlers, some of whom went to Fort Orange. Most were resettled in New Amsterdam in 1626. I do not know Catalina Deboog's history, but it is possible she was born in New Netherlands rather than Amsterdam.
The erroneous data in the profile text resulted from assiduous efforts to preserve all of the tidbits from different merged profiles.
The marriage record cited here indicates that she was from (i.e., born in) Amsterdam, so I changed the text to indicate that. There's no hint of a source for a birth date. The year 1630 is a reasonable guess (so is 1627); 1653 (shown in the Edmund West "source") is obviously wrong.
More church records and other reliable sources are needed here in place of Edmund West and Yates. Also, it's far better to cite the Collections of the New-York Genealogical and Biographical Society (or Holland Society of New York) than the ancestralcurios website, which sometimes misrepresents its sources.
More than the location is an issue here. The claim of birth "about 1623 in Albany, Albany, New York" would need extraordinary documentation. The usual sources say that there were no families--only individual traders--at Fort Orange or its predecessors until about 1628. This claim should be either documented or deleted. Fortunately, I see that the header information has ignored this claim.
Deboogh-1 and De Boog-1 appear to represent the same person because: they were in an unmerged match & the New Netherland Settlers Approval System (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:New_Netherland_Settlers_-_Approval_System) now has them marked "Green" (NNS Category) and "Orange" (Merge Pending), indicating that the two are ready to be merged. Thanks!
