Captain Roger De Angeli was the son of Sir Thomas Marcello De Angelli - Baron of Rathwine 1420-1495 and his mother was Lady Elizabeth Denzell 1426-1508.

His grandfather was Henry de Angele of Anjou - abt 1400-1485 and Lady Isabella Jamys - 1416-?? Lady Isabella's parents were John Jamys and Margery Jamys...

Roger was married to Judith - Countess of Lens 1465-1490...if you can trace her back 400 years she's linked to all sorts of French and European royalty including William the conqueror and counts from Holland and Boulogne. I can't get to her parents yet.

"Henricus de Angeli was the Abbot of St. Peterborough, Northamptonshire, from 1128 to 1133. Several generations of de Angeli, lived in and around Peakirk, through the later 1500's. Henricus was cousin to Henry I, son of William the Conqueror and had been charged with the Abbey of St. John de Angeli, in France which isn't even close to the Frankish/French spelling prior the assignment at St. Peterborough. St. John de Angeli is also a lengthy distance from Normandy. Roger de Angeli of Peakirk, Northamptonshire who is my direct ancestor died in 1460 , had only one son who's surname was modified to the spelling of Angell."

Henricus de Angeli is also known as Henry de Poitiers, son of Guillame IX le Troubadour and Phillippa de Toulouse of Aquitaine. Not sure if I mentioned this or not.
