Biography
Norman was born in 1870. He was the son of Emmett DeCamp and Annie Howe.
Norman was the eighth of fifteen children born to Emmett Woodson and Anna Eliza (Howe) DeCamp. His brothers and sisters included Annetta, Marshall, Rhoda, Silas Augustus, Grotus Lafayette, Emily, Nelly, Charles Emmett, Nancy, Ida, Adeline, Lydia Josie, Hetta May and Annice DeCamp. He also had two half brothers in Warren Thadius and Hiram DeCamp.
He passed away in 1957.[1]
Obituary - SERVICES SET FOR DE CAMP Services for Norman DeCamp, 86, of 1208 Army Post Road, who died of cancer, Wednesday, at the Brown Nursing Home, 1039 Harding Road, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Tonini Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Panther Creek Cemetery, Adel. Mr. DeCamp, a retired carpenter, was born in Iowa. He lived 40 years in Des Moines.
Surviving are his widow Myrtle; three sons, Guy of Santa Monica, Cal., and Melvin and Clyde of Long Beach, Cal.; four sisters; six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
