Biography
Hebert DeBlanc is a part of US Black heritage.
Hebert was born in 1909 in New Iberia Parish, Louisiana.[1] In 1910 he was living with his parents, Gilbert and Mathilda (Hebert) DeBlanc, and two siblings in New Iberia, Louisiana.[2] By 1920 the family had moved to Austin, Texas where he was living with his parents and 5 siblings.[3]
In 1940 Hebert was living with wife Latrelle (Plummer) and one daughter in Austin, Texas where he was working as a porter.[4]
Technician 4th Grade Hebert DeBlanc served in the United States Navy in World War II Service started: April 1944 Unit(s): Service ended: April 1946
Hebert served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from April 1944 to April 1946.[5]
Hebert married again to Sara Watkins in Los Angeles County, California in 1949.[6]
In 1965 Hebert was mentioned in his mother's obituary as residing in Los Angeles, California.[7]
He passed away in 1970 in Travis County, Texas.[8][9] He was buried in Assumption Cemetery in Austin, Texas.[10]
