Biography

Hebert was born in 1909 in New Iberia Parish, Louisiana.^[1] In 1910 he was living with his parents, Gilbert and Mathilda (Hebert) DeBlanc, and two siblings in New Iberia, Louisiana.^[2] By 1920 the family had moved to Austin, Texas where he was living with his parents and 5 siblings.^[3]

In 1940 Hebert was living with wife Latrelle (Plummer) and one daughter in Austin, Texas where he was working as a porter.^[4]

Hebert served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from April 1944 to April 1946.^[5]

Hebert married again to Sara Watkins in Los Angeles County, California in 1949.^[6]

In 1965 Hebert was mentioned in his mother's obituary as residing in Los Angeles, California.^[7]

He passed away in 1970 in Travis County, Texas.^{[8] [9]} He was buried in Assumption Cemetery in Austin, Texas.^[10]
