Biography

Alfred Henry Phillip Dawes was born on 26 August 1921 in South Yarra, Victoria, Australia, the son of Julia Myrtle (Spurling) Dawes and Alfred Henry Dawes.^{[citation needed]}

He married Olive Jean Lloyd on 15 April 1942 in Collingwood, Victoria, Australia.^[1] Their children are:^[2]

• Alan Dawes
• Eva Dawes
• James Dawes

Olive died in November 1948.^[2]

Alfred remarried in 1950 in Victoria, to Doris Evelyn Morton.^[3] They had a daughter.^{[citation needed]}

Alfred died on 1 April 1993 in Parkville, Victoria, aged 71 years.^[4] His remains were buried at Northern Memorial Park in Glenroy, Victoria.^{[citation needed]}
